Solar PV Electricity

SPECIAL FEATURES OF A SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC (PV) ELECTRICTY SYSTEM

We can install any size system dependent upon your needs and size available significantly reduces your electricity bills & reduces your co2 emissions by at least 585 kgs per year. That is the same as a jumbo jet flight to Italy.

Under the government backed Feed In Tarrif any excess electricity generated is sold back to the national grid. It will produce electricity and earn you money whilst you are at work or on holiday. You will get paid for every kWh you generate and can use it for free.

Solar panels can increase the value of your home with the latest independent studies reporting that two thirds of buyers are prepared to pay up to £10,000 more for an energy efficient home.

Our PV system is grid connected which means electricity does not have to be stored in batteries which have a limited lifespan.

Solar Hot Water Heating


				A Solar Hot Water System uses a glass panel (vacuum tubes or flat glass), usually fitted to your roof, which collects energy from the sun via absorption plates with a special coating fitted to copper pipes within the glass. It very efficiently converts the energy into hot water for you to use in your home. These systems can provide anything up to 70% of your domestic hot water needs. The sun will shine on your roof whether or not you have a Solar Panel. You might as well use it and save money. You’ll also be saving those fossil fuels and all that carbon escaping into our atmosphere – the saving could be up to a tonne of carbon a year from your house alone!!

Heat Pumps

The modern Air or Ground Source Heat Pump (ASHP / GSHP) system offers a viable alternative to traditional heating and hot water boiler installations. They are relatively simple to install, cheap to run, don't require gas or yearly safety certificates, and can offer efficiency levels in excess of 300% over gas boilers.

A Heat Pump can be most easily explained as a refrigerator working in reverse. Instead of making things cold on the inside and warmer outside (feel the back of your fridge!) heat pumps make your home warmer on the inside and put the cold outside! They do this very efficiently too!! For every 1kW of power you supply to your heat pump, it will give you 3 to 4kW of heat energy in return. Not such a bad deal! In the same way as the sunshine and Solar Panel above, the air and ground around your property contains significant amounts of heat energy which are there whether you have a heat pump or not. That energy might as well be used for the very same reasons!

Delivery Policy:

Ordering times for Solar Thermal, PV and Heat Pump equipment are typically 2 working weeks. Equipment is usually delivered by our installation team at the time of installation. If delivery by GrEnergy is not possible (perhaps due to weight or handling restrictions) then we will arrange for goods to be delivered directly at a mutually agreed time.

Lead times for equipment installation are dependent upon the workload of our installation teams at the time of ordering but will usually be within 2 – 4 weeks from the date of ordering. An installation date will however be agreed at the time of order.

Website - Privacy & Data Use:

GrEnergy’s privacy policy is that we do not store credit card details, nor do we share customer details with any third parties. All credit card and debit card payments are processed by PayPal, therefore financial details are not held by GrEnergy.
